About
Custom digital gumshields, made in Galway.
Setanta Gumshields provides professionally fitted custom sports gumshields using the latest digital intra-oral scanning technology. All scanning is done by a registered dental clinician. Based in Craughwell, Co. Galway, we create high quality gumshields for individual adult players, clubs and sports teams across Ireland.
A custom digital gumshield starts with a digital intra-oral scan of your mouth so no gooey impressions. The scan is used to individually design the gumshield to the exact shape of your mouth, which is then laboratory manufactured and professionally fitted.
Unlike standard shop bought gumshields, every Setanta gumshield is custom made from a precise digital scan of your teeth and gums. The result is a secure, comfort fit that stays in place within your mouth. Allowing easy breathing, speaking and ultimate protection.
Club members and teams can be scanned on site at their own club or team facility, as well as at our dental clinic.
What is the process
Precision Starts with a 5-minute 3D Scan
Every Setanta Gumshield starts with an intra-oral scan. Instead of taking traditional putty impressions, the scanner captures thousands of high definition 3D images every second to create an exact digital model of your teeth and gums. The result? A custom gumshield that is tailored exclusively to your mouth for outstanding comfort, fit and maximum protection.
